Making an Advent Calendar was not something I was planning on doing this year. I figured the little guy wouldn’t really “get it”, so why bother?
But that quickly changed when he popped out of bed on Saturday and declared that it was Christmas! Ha. Poor kid. Not quite yet kiddo!
So I thought it would be a good idea to have a way to countdown the sleeps ’til Christmas. Otherwise I can only imagine how many times he would declare that “today is Christmas” over the next couple weeks.
This was super simple and took about 15 minutes.
I found these favor boxes at the Dollar Store- they came 12 in a pack. I bought two packs.
I grabbed a black Sharpie and just wrote the numbers out.
Then I used washi tape to stick them to the chalk board wall. Husband asked why they weren’t in order. I don’t know, I guess I felt like getting wild and crazy with the order of the numbers! ha.
Gotta keep it interesting around here folks. 🙂
See you tomorrow for the whole house tour. The halls are decked!
