It seems that with each new season that comes, I find myself drawn to color that “speaks” to me. I’ve had my moment with different colors throughout the years and of course I will never stop loving my go-to navy blue. However, this season I am finding myself really drawn to navy blue’s sassy hip sister: French Blue. There is just something so perfectly spring about this fresh and happy color. Despite it’s name of “French Blue” it is also perfectly southern. Other names for this might be denim, chambray, Williamsburg Blue, Parisian Blue…
No matter what you call it, I think it pairs perfectly with so many colors! So today I thought I would share some inspiration for this color that has hit me hard.

One of my favorite home designers is Sarah Bartholomew- I just absolutely love everything she does and she is the one that inspired me to do the bird wall in the dining room. Here are a few of my favorites where she uses French Blue in her designs.

I shared my paint dipped vase last week, and of course- I used french blue! You can read the full tutorial for how to make this for under $10 here.
And I spotted these pictures when I was out shopping last week. This one was snapped at Etu Home.
And this one was snapped at Draper James.
Are you swooning yet? If so, I collected a few items below to help give you a pop of this color in your own home this spring!

I’m old, we always called this Cornflower Blue. I LOVE it! Dusty shades are always my favorite. It’s like you take any color and add gray…POOF, you have the perfect dusty color!

Love love it! I used “denim” blue as an accent wall in our family room and repurposing jeans has been fun to use as accents.
