Hi there! Hope you are having a great week. Things have been quiet around here but that’s because I have been hard at work. Oh yeah, and enjoying spring break.
Here we are on week two of the six week One Room Challenge. Participating in this One Room Challenge event truly is a challenge for me, because I typically decorate a room over a loooooooong period of time.
I tweak here and there. I upgrade this and paint that over months and sometimes even years. I don’t set out to decorate a room all at once and honestly I never call it “DONE”! I do love a good challenge though and fingers crossed this all turns out the way it looks in my head.
I am excited about the progress from this past week, especially considering the stomach bug hit the house last week and now it is spring break.
First up- we have a new BED!
OK, truth be told, this was in the works well before this challenge started. It’s the Marlo Bed from Room & Board. I was concerned about the low height but love the way it looks in the room. I love the neutral oatmeal gray color fabric and bonus points for the kiddo being able to climb in.
Wait, IS that a good thing?!?!? ha.
The next update- a new cow rug. The baby and I hopped over to Ikea and the rug just jumped right in to the cart.
Yep, that’s what happened.
Hmmmm… so maybe I didn’t make as much progress as I thought!! But there are lots of goodies in the works behind the scenes, so I will have more to share next week.
Thanks for checking in!
Be sure to come back next week- I am knee deep in mirrors around here with these Ballard Design mirrors as my inspiration.
And this fabric may or may not be on it’s way to my house…
Mwa, ha… ha… ha…
Follow along each week with the makeover updates!

love the cow! My sister just used those Ballard mirrors in her family room. Check the outlet on DeFoors – they had a ton a week or two ago. They look fabulous in person! Can't wait to see your next changes! xx, b @ being-bianca.com

You're making great progress, Heather! I have been eyeing a cowhide rug, too, and I would be in SO MUCH trouble if we had an IKEA in town! Hope y'all have recovered from the stomach bug. 🙂
