Easy Banana Pudding That Is Guaranteed to Be Devoured

in Food, holidays, Spring on 04/08/19

This post has been sponsored by NILLA Wafers. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Everyone needs a holiday signature dish- here is a recipe to make your own! This banana pudding recipe is easy, serves up pretty and guaranteed to be devoured at your Easter brunch.

The countdown to Easter is on and we all know that it’s our favorite reason to make banana pudding! Today I am sharing an Easy Southern Banana Pudding Recipe. This Banana Pudding comes together easy and tastes amazing. But the true star of the show is serving it in a glass trifle bowl with Nilla Wafers layered that makes it look like you spent a lot more time than you actually did!

I love a quick recipe that not only tastes great and is easy- but also makes a beautiful presentation.

Easy Southern Banana Pudding Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (16-oz) container frozen whipped cream (the larger one)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 box Nilla Wafers
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (5-oz) box instant French vanilla pudding mix
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • Glass Trifle Bowl for serving

** If your trifle bowl is large (or you want any chance of having leftovers), you will probably need to double this recipe.

DIRECTIONS

Line the bottom of a Glass Trifle bowl with Nilla Wafers and layer bananas on top.

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Let the pudding chill for at least 5 minutes while you prep the other ingredients.

Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth.

Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended.

Pour the pudding mixture over the lined Nilla Wafers and bananas in the trifle dish.

Add a layer of whipped topping on top of the pudding.

Then add another layer of Nilla Wafers and bananas.

Continue to layer the trifle bowl by adding a layer of pudding, then a layer of whipped cream, sliced bananas and more Nilla Wafers.

Once your trifle dish is full, I added a final layer of whipped topping and some Nilla Wafers and banana slices.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Look how pretty it turned out! And it really was fun to assemble. I was able to grab all of the ingredients from my local Kroger so be sure to hippity hop to find your ingredients too. The combination of sweet pudding with the crispy vanilla-flavored wafers add the perfect sweetness.

I love this recipe!! Only thing I’d change The wording when it first says to pour the pudding mixture in it seems like you pour the whole mix in, which is what I did (oops)!! Thanks for the recipe!
