Four Last Minute Table Setting Ideas

in Lifestyle on 11/17/18

Happy Thanksgiving week! Our break started Friday and we are heading down to 30-A for the week. Bring on the sunshine… and the chaos! Our two boys will be joining their three boy cousins so while you are lazily lounging in front of the TV watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, we will be corralling 5 boys-under 10-under one roof. Today let’s chat about Thanksgiving Table Setting ideas.

I know you are already probably knee deep in company and gravy but if you’ve waited until the last minute to figure out your table, I am popping in today with a few last minute ideas. Some things you will hopefully have around the house, some you can find in the yard, and some can be delivered to your door before Wednesday. #AMAZONFORTHEWIN

Either way, I encourage you to pop into your dining room (or wherever the borrowed card tables and random chair collection is currently set up) and get your table ready! A little effort really does go a long way when it comes to hosting. Hopefully you already have your outfit picked out (ahem, if not, I’ve got you covered here===> FOUR EASY THANKSGIVING OUTFITS) and now it’s time to check the box on the table.

  1. BLANKET SCARF TABLE RUNNER

Kind of random, but stay with me here people! 🙂 I have used this blanket scarf for numerous table settings and it really does work with so many different patterns or helps make a plain white dish pop.  The colors are perfect for Thanksgiving and festive for Christmas. It’s a pretty affordable way to add some fun colors and pattern to your table.

  2. MAGNOLIA LEAF PLACECARD

I shared this idea on a festive table scape a couple years ago and it is still one of my faves! A magnolia leaf makes a great spot to write someone’s name-  I just used a gold sharpie . Of course, if you don’t have a Magnolia tree, you can always grab a pinecone and just use some cardstock as well. Thanksgiving Table Setting Magnolia

  3. BUFFALO CHECK NAPKINS

If loving black and white buffalo check is wrong, I don’t want to be right! While these are admittedly “on-trend” right now, I do believe a good gingham is timeless and these generic napkins could really be used for any occasion. I found this set from Amazon and it has over 900 positive reviews and comes in several color combos.

    4. DIY ANTELOPE PLATE CHARGERS

There is still time to pull off these DIY Antelope chargers I shared last month. But I do I realize the last thing you probably want to add to your to-do list is a project right now! So even if you don’t get around to making these, I hope you can grab some inspiration from this table setting.

    Hi there,
I’m happy to read this blog post and come to know more about that.
It was wondering if I could use this write-up on my other website, I will link it back to your website though. Great Thanks.
