Greetings from the sunshine state and happy Valentine’s weekend and President’s Day weekend! Do you have Monday off? The boys do so we decided to turn our 3-day weekend into a family getaway and rented a last minute house down on 30-A (beaches in the pandhandle of Florida). The forecast isn’t great but it will be nice to have a change of scene for a few days. I always welcome the opportunity to mix things up and while we won’t be swimming, I do think we will find plenty to do to stay busy. I’d love to hear what your plans are for the weekend so grab your coffee and meet me on the porch for our weekly Front Porch Coffee Talk .
A goal of mine for this year was to make our den more usable and functional and we are making progress! This bar table is the latest addition and was very easy to put together. Love how it creates additional seating- almost like a stadium with the tiered row. We are thinking it will be good while entertaining to have a few more spots for people to sit and watch the TV.
I shared lots of Target dresses on Monday, and it seems like you too are ready for spring! Since then, I have made a few more mood boards and I do admit that I am just loving all of the lavender this spring. To shop everything you see below- click here.
I have a feeling this dress is going to be a fave, it reminds me of a similar one they had last year and the style is just so cute! It comes in 6 colors and is perfect for throwing on in the summer. You can shop it here.
Read it, didn’t love it. I usually am a huge fan of Elin, but the story was frustrating for me. Have you read it?
Our third family hike of the year was a success! This time we explored the Amicalola area and I was blown away at the beauty of this trail. So far we have done Kennesaw Mountain, Stone Mountain and the “Edge of the World” Trail on Amicalola Creek. Out of the three, the boys like Stone Mountain the best.
Sweet P had his heart set on making a football field cake for the Super Bowl. I love the way it turned out using candy we had on hand.
This perfectly sums up my attitude on laundry lately. Anyone else?
Do you celebrate Fat Tuesday? I saw this King Cake monkey bread recipe and thought it looked fairly easy and know my boys would LOVE it!
