Hey Y’all!
It’s Cocktail Summer Style Soiree Time!
Nothing says summer like Lilly patterns.
Just say the words Lilly Pulitzer and I am ready to kick off my shoes,
whip up a pitcher of margaritas and relax.
And now with my Lilly-Inspired Cocktail Cart,
I am ready to make every hour a happy hour!
When I found this sad old baby changing table,
it was chanting to me-
“I WANT TO BE A COCKTAIL CART!”
So I replied-
“CHEERS!”
and loaded this old thirsty little thing up.
Nothing a quick coat of spray paint can’t fix!
I used a new Lowe’s Valspar color “Octopus”.
It is the most perfect neutral gray with just a tint of blue.
Next I added some fun Lilly-Inspired accessories.

The Lilly Alligator Towel
To make this towel, I dug into my Lilly fabric stash.
OK, here is where I come clean and admit that whenever I stumble upon Lilly clothes for little girls while on my “hunts”, I snatch them up.
And no, I do not currently have a baby girl…
but should I be blessed someday,
I will be ready to dress her up in all kinds of Little-Lilly’s. 🙂
For this towel, I plucked those pink pants from the middle and used them as fabric to make the alligator! I plan to make some burp cloths as gifts someday soon, so I will be sure to keep you posted…
Lilly Pattern Bunting Banner
Using the same Lilly patterns I used for my acrylic tray,
I made a quick, free, and easy bunting flag to add some color.
Cocktail & Beverage Assortment
Of course, a cocktail cart has to be loaded up with fun,
citrusy-summery beverages.
The good stuff doesn’t last around our house very long,
but I am ready for kids and pregnant friends.:)
Need to be sure to stock up before our next soiree!
Now we have a beverage station ready to serve up
cocktails at our summer shindigs!
PS: Don’t forget about our Ralph Lauren link up on July 10th!

I can’t wait to hear about it!

So cute! I have always walked right by the baby changing tables now I will need to stop and get it. This would be perfect on my patio. Ok off to check out craigs list.

Chaney @ May Richer Fuller Be says
oops…changing table, not crib :)!
Heather says
Hmmm… Now I wonder what I could do with a crib!?!? 🙂
Hook, Line and Sink Her says
That looks wonderful! I love the name of the paint you chose; and it's the perfect neutral backdrop for your fantastic colourful barware 🙂 xx
Heather says
Thanks! I wasn't sure if "octopus" was going to be a dull gray, but I was super happy with the color! Watch out house, what could be next up for painting?
srpprcrftr says
So glad you told us about the spray paint. I've been looking for a very soft light gray I can use so this will be it. Next time I'm at Lowe's I'll be hunting down that color. Sure would be nice if it was on the reject shelf, yeah right, gonna buy it anyway. Happy days
Heather says
I definitely recommend the color! Good luck on the hunt!

Samantha @ Five Heart Home says
This is such a cute idea! Makes me wish our changing table was like this (instead of a dresser) so that I could upcycle it in this way when the baby is done with it. 🙂
Heather says
Well, a dresser is always a functional choice to convert for a baby changing table too! Maybe you will come across a changing table you can transform though!
Katie Murphy says
What a fantastic transformation, I love this! Thank you for checking out my beach inspired console table earlier, and I'm so excited to browse around your blog. Following you on bloglovin' too 🙂

Patty and Brett says
How did you reinforce the shelves? The shelves on the table I'm repurposing are really just thick cardboard. Thinking of cutting a piece of plywood and securing to the sides.
Heather Metzler says
The shelves that came on mine were pretty sturdy, probably some sort of particle board. I would think reinforcing would work great. Good luck!
liz says
What type of material is on the bottom shelf?
