It’s February so I say it’s the perfect time to show yourself some love and treat yourself to some pretty flowers. I did just that the other day at Trader Joe’s and it was fun picking out some pretty pink options and I really had fun putting an arrangement together. This pretty flower arrangement truly makes me smile every time I walk through the front door and it is an instant mood booster. So today as part of our “22 Ways to Inspire Your 2022” series I am sharing three ways I “zhush” up my grocery store flowers to take them from good to great.
Just another nugget of inspiration for you as we work through our “22 Ways to Inspire Your 2022”!

THREE WAYS I ZHUZH UP MY GROCERY STORE FLOWERS
-
A PRETTY VASE
I have quite a few fancy vases that were wedding presents, but there is something about taking a $1 thrifted glass vase and turning it into something pretty that I just love! I snagged a basic round glass vase on a recent thrift store run for under $1. And I had pink spray paint and painters tape on hand. So I quickly did my dipped vase project and voila- a fun dipped vase for under a buck. She’s all zhushed up and ready for her glamour shot now! I shared all of the details on how I make these dipped vases here in case you want to try one for yourself! How to Make A Colorblocked Vase for Under $10

FLORAL SHEARS
I also “treated” myself to these $7 garden shears a few months ago and I am so glad I did! I keep them in my kitchen drawer and they are great for clipping pretty flowers from the yard and especially helpful when clipping grocery store flowers. I love that my scissors that I use for food don’t have the chemicals from any store bought flowers on the blade. But the best part is that they come with this handy little cover so my kids are WAY less likely to grab for them which means they are always in the actual spot where I left them. (who can relate?)

Create a Grid With Tape
You have probably seen this before, but I truly think this makes such a difference when arranging grocery store flowers. To make a grid, I just grab regular scotch tape and create a tic-tac-toe board across the top of the vase. This allows me to place my stems exactly where I want them without them all falling on top of each other.
So do you have any more tips for arranging grocery store flowers?
xoxo-
